Rotary and Victorian Police Mentoring Program

A very successful Closing Breakfast' was held recently at the RACV Club in Melbourne for this very successful program. Our own Peter Codd attended with his local police officer Mark Guthrie.

At the closing breakfast, brief presentations were made by a Rotary Mentor and a Police Mentee, providing guests with experience they both had. All agreed the Program has been a great success and new friendships made and developed.

Both the Police and Rotary participants were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Deputy Commissioner Wendy Steendam and District Governor Nominee Phillip Archer.

The next Program for new participants was launched in October 2018.

It's in the bag.

The Rotary Club of Queenscliffe is this year supporting "It's in the bag" - the Christmas project of "Share the Dignity". Our club donated 85 handbags and $200.00 towards the cost of toiletries to fill the bags. The handbags will be given to homeless women or women at risk in Geelong and on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Erik Update.

Erik has moved house to Leon and Rosanne Bourke's house this weekend. Big thanks to the Barry's for hosting Erik over the last three months. Erik has provided with a list of the activities he has already done and a wishlist of things he would like to do. Please contact Erik, John or Leon if you are able to assist with any of these activities.

Dinner Auction Update: Unfortunately the dinner auction will not proceed this year. We look forward to having it on again next year in October. We are thinking about running a trivia night to boost our funds. So watch this space.
