See Paul for more details. www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/1135k41 House of Angels - update. Don't forget to consider participating in the $100 per year House of Angels fundraising program. Could you also promote this program to your family and friends to see if we can get as many sponsors as we can. (See Cheryle, Leon or Dawn for details.) This is a fantastic way to help Dawn and April with the on-costs for supporting the children in Coffee Bay. The Rotary trip to visit House of Angels in August is getting closer. 17 suitcases full of donations, including some computers were picked up by the group last Sunday. The Board has confirmed that it will fund $2000 for the 're-roofing of the rondavels' project (see pic below - for the challenge we are facing) and $500 for some play ground equipment. Angel is helping us to identify some locals who are experienced in the re-roofing project. This will help enormously and we will be able to pay them fair wages. April has been busy liaising with Angel to sort out all of the details of the trip. Dale and Lisa from Belmont Rotary have sourced computers and soccer balls. Great job - thanks! So if we get bored at the airport we will be right. It's all happening. We will keep you posted. Peter Codd will be away for several weeks on holiday. Lesley Goode has kindly offered to step in as Club Secretary in Peter's absence. Thanks Lesley. |
