International Report.
  1. Operation Toilets Austrialia. The International Committee is keen to hear from Mark Balla at our 28th Feb  meeting to learn more about the project and our possible engagement.
  2. Lesley Goode will be attending the Grants/Foundation seminar which will be held in Geelong 10 Feb. This will give qualify GWP to apply for grants in the coming year.
  3. House of Angels.  The Committee recommends that funds from the Rotary HoA account be paid at the start of each school year for the subsequent 3 years, (approximately $900.00). The money is to be used to support the purchase of uniforms and books for children attending local schools. This commitment is to be reviewed annually by the GWP Board. As such the Board requests that receipts and a financial record be provided annually by the HoA.
Geelong Beer Festival fund raising opportunity.
A volunteering opportunity has been presented to the club by the organising committee of the Geelong Beer Festival. They need 15 volunteers to work for 3-4 hours on Saturday the 15th of Feb around lunchtime at the beer festival handing out wristbands or glasses and they would donate $500 to the Club. Thanks to all those who have volunteered to date - if anyone else would like to help out - please contact Paul.

Rotary Grants Qualifying Seminar - Geelong Feb 2019
The seminar will be on Sunday 10 February 2019 and hosted by the Rotary Club of Geelong. The venue will be the Geelong RSL, 50 Barwon Heads Road, Belmont and the training will commence at 10 am with a break for lunch and should finish about 3 pm. There is free parking all day.

The registration cost is $25 per Rotarian. There will be Tea/coffee and cake all day. Finger food sandwiches and hot platters for lunch. GWP Rotary Club will refund our members registrations.
Please contact Lesley Goode if you are interested.

This is really important to our club. We need to be more savvy about how to link into the Rotary Grants program. We need members to qualify for the grants to be open to us. No qualified members = No grants. So please consider attending with Lesley in Geelong (easy) 10 Feb.

What's this whoozin????
'whoozin'  is an app that enables us to collect RSVP's to events and meetings in a very easy accessible way. It provides a report for simple administration of these events.
Jordy will be sending you whoozin invites via email.
It is important to know that you have to reply to whoozin to be included in the catering numbers for the meeting or event being advertised.  You are not automatically counted in - you have to reply.  Please respond to whoozin invites as quickly as possible and no later than the Tuesday before the event.  If you do not have access to email - please respond to Rice Village in the usual way.  If you have any questions about whoozin please discuss with Jordy or Cookie.

Meeting Attendance.
If you are unable to access 'whoozin' please remember to inform  RICE VILLAGE  by Tuesday prior to the meeting if not attending to stop food waste and the unnecessary effort our  volunteers. Check blue book for the number or use the app!
