Welcome

We are a group of men and women who above all enjoy giving back to the communities we live in -  local, Victoria, Australia and the World. Rotary makes this all possible .

Add to this the friendships we develop, the Fellowship we have,  plus the business development and personal growth.

 

But above all the joy and satisfaction of helping others.

 

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Belmont, we received our Charter on 21^st September 1979.  Since then we have been very active in our local communities, as well as supporting Australian and global projects.

 

For nearly 40 years we ran a successful Dinner Auction (generating well in excess of $500,000), which enabled us to contribute $10,000 to purchase a wheel chair for a young handicapped person, $60,000 to the Barwon Valley School for their hydrotherapy pool, countless shade areas for schools, veggie gardens for the aged, walking paths and more.

 

On the world stage, we have provided funding for an ambulance in Nepal, clean water for 3^rd world schools and communities, Shelter Boxes (temporary housing , just Google it) for ravished communities.

Let us not forget Rotary’s major cause over many years, Polio Plus (the eradication of Polio), we are now so close.

 

However regulations and local rules have changed over the years. We are now more involved in smaller hands on projects for agencies like Encompass, Environmental and Recycling programs.
