  Wednesday 11 December
Meeting Number 2004

Our Annual Dinner at The Grovedale Hotel last week was enjoyed by all those in attendance. The pre-dinner canapes and drink were very well received. There was excellent fellowship with congratulations to Bill and Joe for winning the raffle.

Some shocking news! As you may already know Rhonda is in hospital in Brisbane. Paul has been in contact with some members regarding her situation. She has suffered a problem with her back but more seriously bleeds on her brain. She underwent surgery on Thursday and again yesterday to drain some fluid off the brain to release pressure and Paul says she would be in an induced coma again for 48 hours after that. He has been told they will be in Brisbane for at least another month. If you have the opportunity you might like to contact Paul and pass on your best wishes for a speedy recovery for Rhonda and understanding of his situation too.

Next  Wednesday 11 December there is a BBQ at Opal Aged Care, 209 South Valley Road Highton for the official opening of the raised garden beds which the Club provided. Start time is 6 for 6.15 pm. Partners are welcome to attend. BYO drinks. David would like numbers to him or Jordan by Monday 9 December please.

A copy of the roster for the nursing home visits on Wednesday 18 December has been sent out via email to everyone. Please let Jan know if you did not receive a copy or are not available. Community Service requires input from everyone at this time of the year!

ENJOY THIS CHRISTMAS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND STAY SAFE!

She is the first female to have been selected for this role and her appointment was confirmed by RI President Mark Maloney on December 1 2019.

Jessie has a most distinguished record of service to Rotary already.
