Suspension of Rotary Meetings

As of Monday 16 March 2020 all Rotary Meetings at Rice Village have been suspended indefinitely due to the COVID-19 virus - at least until the end of April at this stage when it will be reviewed by the Board.

This action has been taken to ensure that the health and well-being of all members, partners and friends is maximised. It also prevents any interaction between members and the residents of Rice Village, especially those with health issues or those who are vulnerable due to age or autoimmune levels.

We need to maintain contact with all our members and continue our work in the community as best as we can - BBQs especially. Plans are proposed to deal with the issue of supplies from Aldi and the question of whether Bunnings are going to allow them to be held. More details to follow as we approach the next BBQ on Saturday 4 April.

The Board has made the following suggestions:

          1. Committees to meet to plan and discuss issues at a member's home as required or determined by the Chairperson

          2. Board to meet when required to enact any business - last week in April? and reports distributed to members

          3. Guest speakers will be postponed and rescheduled as required

          4. If feasible social functions may be organized with attendance at the discretion of members. Any ideas would be very welcome. What venues will be available?

The suspension of full Club meetings will be kept to a minimum but is indefinite at this stage. Rice Village has advised us today that we are unable to meet there.

Your health and safety is our primary concern. Please keep in touch with each other and let us know if you need help in any way.

Yours in Rotary Service
