 'Bluey' Tim McGrath discusses Melanoma 
Last week we had Bluey McGrath speak to us about the importance of having regular skin checks. He share his personal story about dealing with Melanoma in the hope that it will inspire all of us to be vigilant and have regular check-ups.
 
The future of work - Dr Jude Walker
 
 
On August 31 we are having a joint meeting with Highton Rotary. Dr Jude Walker,  a Labour Market Analyst and Futurist from the Geelong Local Learning and Employment Network, (GLENN) is speaking on “The Future of Work."
We will be meeting at the Deakin Lakehouse at 6 for a 6.30 pm start.  The meal cost is $32 for a two course meal and coffee/tea.
Greg Cooke requires final numbers by Monday 28 August to advise Highton.
 
 
 
 
 
 Children find a home at The House of Angels
Leon provided us with an update on the 'House of Angels'. There are now 25 children being cared for by Angel and her helpers. They are doing a tremendous job. The children in the photos below are newcomers and are starting to settle into their new home.

Auction Night Update
 Well we are fast getting to the pointy end of our Rotary year with our Dinner Auction happening on Fri Oct 13th @ Dromoland House in Pako.  Paul needs us all to seek as many donations as possible and start thinking about who you can invite. It's shaping up to be a really great night - new venue and band.  Let's see if we can beat the funds we raised last year!  There is no reason why not - with everyone's support.
