Auction Night - Wow!

All that work and it's all over.  What great night. Everyone had a really fantastic time.  Still counting,  but looks like we have raised approximately $16,000 which will go  long way to supporting our projects in the coming year. Big thanks to Rhonda and Paul for all of their hard work pulling this event together.  Great job!  To all who helped out, sourced donations and pitched in to help with what ever needed doing - a big thanks to all of you.  Special thanks to all of the businesses who generously donated items to us - without this support we would not be able to achieve the things we do. So thank you so much. We will keep everyone up to date on our projects via our new Facebook page - Grovedale - Waurn Ponds Rotary Hand Up Project.  I am so proud to be a part of this club. What a great achievment!

District Grants Qualifying Seminars

Each year the District conducts seminars to qualify clubs to access the District Dedicated Funds.
Cheryle Marriner will be representing the club this year at the Ballarat meeting next Sunday.

Working Bee - Labour Required Urgent!!!
Earlier this year we donated 20 hours labour to Highton Rotary for Tom Wilson (exchange student in Japan) as his parents were hurt in car accident. The labour was sold at a fundraiser. So we now need 8 volunteers for 2-3 hours on Sunday 15th October 8.00am @ 12 Gurr Street, East Geelong. Numbers to Cookie by Wed 11th Oct at the latest.
Last Couple of Meetings.....
Last Wed we met at Town and Country Pizza at Waurn Ponds.  Town and Country Pizza have donated to our auction and it was good to be able to support this business.  Good night was had by all.

The week before we had our Grand Final night special with our friends from Belmont RC.
Upcoming BBQs
Guess What?
We raised $800 on Sunday 15 Oct at the special event BBQ  - fantastic effort!
