This year I am going to try to publish stories from each of the service areas (ie Youth, International, Community etc). I think it is important that we update our members - especially our new members on the activities we are supporting and the good work that is happening. So I am putting the call out to members to draft stories so they can be published in the bulletin and if suitable, also on the face book page.

District 9780 trip to Cambodia.

Next Thursday 1st February, Lesley Goode is travelling to Cambodia with 11 other District 9780 Rotarians. Bryan Humphries (Geelong East) has provided the opportunity to visit the water project in Veal Veang to which  our Club made a contribution in the past. On Friday 2nd February, we are attending the meeting of the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh.  Our club has kindly donated US$150 to the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh Books for Children project. This involves providing books for classrooms and  libraries aiming particularly at the 5 – 10 year old age group.

Lesley said she will send photos of the meeting and water project and then report on the trip when she returns.
We wish Lesley well in her travels.  Great to see our club represented on this trip.
